At the heart of this tour lies the Colosseum, the largest amphitheater ever built, located in the center of Rome.
The Colosseum stands as a testament to Roman engineering prowess, originally capable of seating over 50,000 spectators. Its design features, including the intricate system of vaults, support structures, and the use of travertine limestone, highlight the architectural innovation of the time.
This iconic structure was not only an entertainment venue but also a symbol of the Empire’s wealth and power. It hosted gladiatorial contests, public spectacles, and theatrical productions that depicted classical mythology, contributing to cultural life and political propaganda.
The influence of the Colosseum extends beyond its historical era; it has been a source of inspiration for numerous cultural works and continues to be a pivotal symbol of architectural integrity and historical depth in modern times.
The tour begins at Largo Gaetana Agnesi, located just outside the metro station. Participants are advised to wear comfortable footwear and arrive early to ensure a prompt start. The guide will lead the group directly to a special group entrance, bypassing the usual long lines, which provides a smooth start to the exploration of these monumental sites.

It was great to have prepaid tickets but the crowds of people was unreal. There were no staff to tell people where to go. We still had to queue to get in but overall a fantastic experience.

Although the tour was informative, the audio equipment was not working well, which made it difficult to hear the guide at times.
