Sculptural Group of the Trevi Fountain – Statue of Ocean and Tritons with Horse

The front elevation of the central sculptural group of the Trevi Fountain depicts the Statue of Ocean, flanked by two tritons with their respective horses, works by sculptor Pietro Bracci. At the center, Ocean dominates the scene, standing on a shell drawn by horses, symbolizing the power of the waters. To his left, a triton guides an agitated horse, while to his right, another triton accompanies a calm horse, creating a balance between the power and serenity of the sea.
