Why are there a number of stations Non Operating. Is this seasonal?
We are staying at 49 Milano where can we pick up the subway to Termini station
Hi Betty! if we understand correctly, you will be staying in via Milano, 49. The closest underground station is Metro Cavour (8 minutes on foot). However, we advise not to use it to reach Termini, as the time required to climb all the stairs and wait for a ride is probably less than reaching Termini directly on foot (about 15 minutes). Indeed, we recommend the latter option if the weather is good. In any case, from via Nazionale, bus lines 64, 170 or H take you to Termini station and perhaps save you a few minutes. Have a nice stay… Read more »
Grazie Paolo
Ciao. My hotel is near the Piazza Navona. What is the best way to get there from Termini station? Grazie.
Ciao Bob,
nearest metro station to Piazza Navona is Barberini, which is 18 min away on foot (1.5 Km).
We suggest you to take the bus line 70 (on the side of the Termini station, on via Giolitti) or 64 (bus bays in front of Termini main entrance, on piazza dei Cinquecento). Both will take around 20 minutes.
Alternatively, you can take a taxi or rent a car with driver.
Have a nice stay in Rome!
When will the San Pietro station on Linea C reopen?
The San Pietro station is part of the future development of the metro line B. In the future it will connect Piazza Venezia to the metro station being built on the west of Castel Sant’Angelo and furthermore to the Auditorium and the Farnesina. Until the metro is finished being built (possibly in 2032), the nearest metro to San Pietro is “Ottaviano”, which is part of line A.
Vengo a Roma agosto 2022. Le fermate Repubblica e Barberini della linea A saranno ancora chiuse?
(English: I am coming to Rome in August 2022. Will the Repubblica and Barberini metro stations on line A still be closed?)
Dear Dorothy, Repubblica and Barberini metro stations are not closed anymore. Thanks for your comment, we updated the information on this page.
Quale il punto di coincidenza per la linea C e le al altre linee , specificamente o linea A o linea B? Ad esempio, Se volessi andare da Cavour( linea B) a Pigneto (linea C) come farei?
(English: What is the connection point for line C and the other lines, specifically line A or line B? For example, if I want to go from Cavour (line B) to Pigneto (line C) how would I do it?)
Dear Dorothy, thanks for your message. Line C starts at San Giovanni metro station (will start from Clodio/Mazzini in the next future). In order to go from Cavour to Pigneto, take the metro B to Termini metro station (heading to Rebibbia or Jonio). Here you can switch to metro A heading Anagnina. After three stops you arrive at San Giovanni metro station. Here you can switch to metro C heading Pantano. After two stops you arrive at you destination.
Hello! When will line C start operating all the way to Clodio/Mazzini?
With the new 2022 financial law passed by the government (art. 1 comma 393, Legge di Bilancio 2022), 1.7 billion euros have been allocated for the T2 section of metro C in Rome.
The stations involved are Venezia, Chiesa Nuova, San Pietro, Ottaviano and Clodio/Mazzini. The start of the project is expected by 2023, while no information has been leaked on the opening date. It is planned that the metro will be further extended to: Auditorium and Farnesina.
Thanks for reaching out Noah!
