The Colosseum Archaeological Park is a vast area of excavations and monuments covering approximately 77 hectares, 47 of which are equipped and open to the public. The Flavian Amphitheater, better known as the Colosseum, is the main attraction of this guided tour through the archaeological park.

The Colosseum is an extraordinary example of Roman architecture and a symbol of its enduring power. This imposing amphitheater was the venue for gladiator battles. Its grandeur is reflected not only in its massive structure but also in its central role in Roman society.
The Roman Forum is another significant archaeological site included in the tour. This area, rich in architectural remains, was the hub of political and religious life in Ancient Rome. Walking among its ruins, one can sense the power and grandeur of the Roman Empire.
The guided route also takes you to Palatine Hill, the most ancient and historically significant site in Rome. According to legend, Romulus founded the city of Rome on this very hill. Palatine Hill offers breathtaking views of the city and the Roman Forum.
The tour also includes the opportunity to walk along the Via Sacra, the main road that crosses the Roman Forum, and admire the Basilica Aemilia, a historically significant building. The Via Sacra was the stage for triumphant processions of Roman generals, while the Basilica Aemilia, with its impressive architecture, is one of the most striking ruins of the Forum.
We recommend arriving at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the tour begins. Staff members will be easily recognizable by the “Gray Line – I Love Rome” logo. Remember to have your digital voucher and a valid ID with you.
