1. Parco archeologico del Colosseo

The Colosseum Archaeological Park includes several archaeological sites, such as:

• Flavian Amphitheater (Colosseum)
• Domus Aurea
• Roman Forum and Palatine Hill

It also houses the Colosseum Museum inside the Flavian Amphitheater. This exhibition space, located on the second level of the amphitheater, represents a museum itinerary dedicated to archaeological excavations, studies and research carried out in recent years.

The exhibition itinerary also shows the history of the Colosseum, shedding particular light on the medieval era and the phase of “Christianization”.

2. Vatican museums

The Vatican Museums host an extraordinary collection of works and masterpieces ranging from ancient Egypt to Greece, from ancient Rome to the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, up to contemporary art.
